Dharav High School Hosts Session on Skill Building & College Readiness

Dharav High School, Gurugram hosted an insightful parent engagement session on Skill Building & College Readiness – Starting from Middle School in association with High School Moms and GIDE.AI which brought together parents and educators for a meaningful discussion on preparing children for the future.

The session began with a welcome address by Ms. Ritu Jawa, Principal, Dharav High School, who highlighted the importance of nurturing confidence, awareness and essential skills from the middle school years.

A key highlight of the session was the candid conversation between Ms. Aditi Misra, Director, Dharav High School, and Mr. Abhishek Gupta, Founder & CEO, High School Moms & GIDE.AI. The discussion explored important themes including self-discovery, self-awareness, skill development and the evolving journey of college readiness.

Mr. Gupta encouraged parents and students to focus on pursuing excellence in their chosen paths, while underscoring the importance of building meaningful student profiles through exposure, experiences, and continuous learning from an early stage. Adding a valuable perspective, Ms. Aditi Misra spoke about the importance of resilience in parenting and highlighted the need to look beyond marks and comparisons, recognising each child’s individual strengths, aspirations and unique journey. The session also reflected on how future readiness and profile building can begin as early as Grade V, enabling children to develop confidence, purpose and individuality in a rapidly evolving world.

Following the conversation, Mr. Gupta engaged with attending parents in an interactive session, offering practical insights into supporting children through changing academic expectations and future opportunities.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Harmeet, Headmistress, Dharav High School, reaffirming the school’s commitment to fostering meaningful parent partnerships and future-focused learning experiences.

A thoughtful and enriching session, it left parents with valuable insights on supporting their children’s academic and personal growth.
